A Tulsa chiropractor that treats the cause of your discomfort

Tulsa chiropractic adjustment

A chiropractic adjustment is the most common form of treatment utilized by chiropractors in clinical practice. Also known as spinal manipulative therapy, an adjustment is a non-invasive, manual procedure using highly-refined skills developed through years of intensive chiropractic education. An adjustment is a carefully controlled procedure delivered by a skilled practitioner to dysfunctional spinal or extremity joints. The primary goal is to decrease pain, improve movement in joints and supporting tissues, and decrease muscle tightness or spasm. We do this by restoring the normal mechanics and functioning of the spine, extremities, and supporting soft tissues. An adjustment rarely causes discomfort. However, you may experience mild soreness or aching after treatment, though this usually resolves within 12 to 48 hours.

What do IPH’s Tulsa chiropractors treat?

At Integrated Physical Health, our chiropractors adapt each procedure to meet the specific needs of our patients. We also specially modify our techniques when treating children, pregnant women, and older patients. Most of our patients seek chiropractic healthcare for conditions affecting the spine such as low back pain, neck pain, and headaches. Research consistently shows that chiropractic treatment is effective for these conditions, and we’re proud to say our patients typically notice improvements in their symptoms immediately following treatment.

Primary & complementary Tulsa chiropractic care

For many conditions, like lower back pain, chiropractic care may be our primary method of treatment. For patients with other medical conditions, we may use chiropractic care  to complement or support other medical treatment by relieving musculoskeletal discomfort associated with the condition. Chiropractic care may also be palliative, providing symptomatic relief to patients with chronic conditions. By treating the musculoskeletal elements of such disorders, chiropractic treatment may improve the general well-being of the patient.

At Integrated Physical Health, we are proud to serve our Tulsa community, offering both primary and complementary chiropractic care. We would love to work together as your Tulsa chiropractor of choice.
